Developed by ARMS®, Inc. under contract for the U.S. Army Laser Combat I.D. (CID) Program. It upgrades A1-A2 M16 weapons to new capabilities that match those of the patented Swan ® #38 Sleeve. 

The main body of the ARMS® A2 Plus mount locks into both the carry handle channel and the handle front support, utilizing two ARMS® self locking thumbnuts. This capability provides rigid support of the dovetail platform that is extended over the handguards; just like the patented SWAN® Super Extended Sleeve. The ARMS® A2 Plus also has a provision to mount a 2nd rail on the carry handle that adds the same look and capabilities as the famous ARMS® M16A1A2 mount, with an enhanced iron and optic see thru capability. This bi-level mounting capability offers multiple combinations of attachments, no tools required. The A2 Plus also features a brush breaker at the front to prevent branches and other objects from wedging between the handguards and the suspended rail. Optical and laser perfect parallel alignment are achieved, while eliminating heat and vibrations that may be experienced in barrel mounting systems.
