| These straightness gauges are used to determine exact
bore diameter and to test for bends in the barrel. The sizes are
.2990, .2995, .3000, .3005, .3010, and .3015. It is attached to a
standard cleaning rod and carefully pushed through the bore from the
breech end. The barrel must be thoroughly cleaned prior to
performing this test. The test helps to predict an aspect of the
accuracy potential of the barrel.
