Trijicon® Inserts are designed especially for handguns, with some rifle
and shotgun applications. It is a 3-dot sighting system. The
inserts are installed into the rear and front blades.
Using the Advanced Tritium-based technology the Trijicon® sights and
reticles are made clearly visible. The luminescent combination of
tritium, an isotope of hydrogen, and phosphors allows the sight to glow
brightly for a full twelve years without the aid of failure-prone
batteries. The result is optimum, dependable any-light shooting
accuracy.
Research and development tests show the 3-dot Trijicon® insert sighting
system is as fast as a standard police instinctive night fire shooting
course, but 5-times more accurate. When the gun cannot be seen or
the sights are silhouetted against the target, the 3-dots are quickly
alight with the target.
